The purpose of this policy is to provide a framework for the assessment, approval, and regulation of wind farms and turbines within the Shire of Narrogin. This policy seeks to ensure that any proposed wind energy projects are developed in a manner that minimises negative impacts and maximises the benefits to the community and the environment.

As we approach the Easter weekend, it is crucial to be mindful of our environment and take necessary precautions to ensure everyone's safety. In line with this, we want to inform the public about a temporary suspension of burning permits during the Easter weekend. From midnight Thursday 28 March, until midnight on Monday 1st, April, all permits to burn stubble and garden waste during the restricted burning period will be suspended.
