The successful return of Pm706 represents the culmination of over 35 years of dedicated community efforts, finally bringing this treasured piece of Narrogin’s history home.

The Shire of Narrogin has declared a Harvest and Vehicle Movement Ban, which is effective immediately across the entire Shire of Narrogin due to current weather conditions. This ban is in place until 5:00pm 1/11/2024.

NOTICE OF LEASE OF PROPERTY The Shire of Narrogin gives notice, pursuant to Section 3.58 (3) of the Local Government Act 1995, of its intention to lease 39 Federal Street Narrogin, to St John Ambulance Western Australia Ltd, for the purposes of ambulance services, for an annual lease of $15,600 + GST pa, plus all outgoings, for a five (5) year term with a five (5) year option.

Notice is hereby given that the Shire of Narrogin at its meeting held on 27 March 2024, adopted the Local Planning Policy on Wind Farm/Turbines. The purpose of this policy is to provide a framework for the assessment, approval, and regulation of wind farms and turbines within the Shire of Narrogin. This policy seeks to ensure that any proposed wind energy projects are developed in a manner that minimises negative impacts and maximises the benefits to the community and the environment.

As we approach the Easter weekend, it is crucial to be mindful of our environment and take necessary precautions to ensure everyone's safety. In line with this, we want to inform the public about a temporary suspension of burning permits during the Easter weekend. From midnight Thursday 28 March, until midnight on Monday 1st, April, all permits to burn stubble and garden waste during the restricted burning period will be suspended. The Shire of Narrogin gives notice as per Section 3.58 (3) of the Local Government Act 1995 of its intention to re-lease 41-43 Federal Street Narrogin, to CSBP Ltd for an annual lease for a two (2) year term, $12,420 (ex GST) for the first year and then $13,041 (ex GST) effective from 1 March 2025.

The Shire of Narrogin is pleased to announce that the 2024 Landcare Project Fund is now open. The Fund provides financial assistance to rural property owners to purchase native plants for land rehabilitation on their property.

The Shire of Narrogin invites the Community to put forward requests that they wish to be considered by the Council for incorporating into its Annual Budget for the 2024/2025 Financial Year.

The Shire of Narrogin gives notice, pursuant to Section 3.58 (3) of the Local Government Act 1995, of its intention to lease 45 Federal Street Narrogin, to The Food Boss, for the purposes of a Cafe, for an annual lease of $15,600 + GST pa, plus all outgoings, for a one (1) year term with a one (1) year option and an initial two month rent free period to enable clean up and setup.
