Railway Dam
In what will be very welcome news to many grey nomads, a new free camp has been created at the popular Railway Dam. Located on Mokine Road, just off of Federal Street, in the Narrogin townsite.
Travellers will now be encouraged to stay at the Railway Dam picnic area, where facilities have been given a serious overhaul.
Self-contained RVs are be allowed to stay at the site for up to 72 hours.
Railway Dam is a much-loved local attraction for our residents and people of the district, and has been for many years and is under the care and control of the Shire. The Shire of Narrogin has installed two shade shelters covering free gas barbecues, as well as picnic benches, a bike stand, new rubbish bins, seats and interpretive signs to improve visitors’ experience.
The RV stop at Railway Dam joins two other approved locations in the Shire of Narrogin at Fairway Street in the Old Goods Shed Yard and in Highbury south of the Narrogin townsite.
