The Shire of Narrogin will celebrate Australia Day on Sunday 26 January 2020 with a Community Breakfast at the Narrogin Town Hall and free entry to the swimming pool at the Narrogin Regional Leisure Centre.
The celebration will commence at 7.30 am with the Community Breakfast, followed by a Citizenship Ceremony and presentation of the Australia Day Citizen of the Year Awards. The Narrogin Regional Leisure Centre will be open from 12pm – 5pm with free entry to the pool and activities for the kids.
Shire President Leigh Ballard said ‘’Australia Day is an opportunity for all Australians to reflect on what it means to be an Australian and to acknowledge our shared history. If you choose to celebrate Australia Day, I encourage you to do so in a manner that fosters unity’’.
The Australia Day Community Breakfast is free to attend, however this year there will be a donation tin, with all proceeds supporting the Eastern States Bushfire Appeals. Any donations will be gratefully accepted.
