Grants from Other Organisations
Below is a list of grants which may also be applicable to an organisation. These grants are not run by the Shire of Narrogin. Some grants are open to all community organisations, while others are for more specific groups.
Before applying for any grant, make sure you read the guidelines. We also recommend that you speak to the contact person to find out whether your project is eligible.
Australian Government GrantsLINK

Connect Groups
Connect Groups is the Peak Body for Peer Support Groups in WA. They provide training, assistance, information and funding opportunities to Support Groups, and advocate on behalf of the sector. Their three small grants programs focus on mental health, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander social and emotional wellbeing, and increasing group capacity.
Department for Communities
One of the key themes underpinning the Department’s work is to develop policies and programs that aim to ensure that the great benefits of where we live are shared, and communities and families supported.
Department of Sport & Recreation
The Sport and Recreation Community Grants Scheme is aimed at providing community organisations with the opportunity to initiate projects which lead to increased participation in physical activity or enhanced skills by providers of sport and recreation.
Healthway
Healthway encourages applications that address high priority health areas and target groups. Priority areas include tobacco smoking control, physical activity, healthy nutrition, mental health and indigenous health, while target groups include children and youth, indigenous populations, rural and remote communities and those in whom health inequalities exist.
Lotterywest
Lotterywest grants are as diverse as the community itself. They support a wide variety of community-based proposals to enhance the lives of Western Australians rights across the State.
Office of Multicultural Interests (WA)
The Community Grants Program (CGP) aims to assist and encourage the involvement of all Western Australians in projects and events that promote the inclusion of Western Australians from diverse linguistic, religious and ethnic backgrounds in the Western Australian community.

Regional Development Australia (RDA)
RDA is a national initiative which seeks to grow and strengthen the regions of Australia. Comprising 52 committees, the RDA network covers metropolitan, rural and remote regions across the country. RDA committees are strong advocates for their region and drivers of change and, as such, have a pivotal role in fostering regional economic development.
The RDA network strengthens partnerships across all three tiers of government, regional business and the wider community to boost the economic capability and performance of regions. RDA Committees are active in promoting Australian Government programs and shepherding communities towards appropriate funding sources that will assist projects that work towards economic development.
The Wheatbelt Development Commission
The Wheatbelt Development Commission offers funding through the Royalties for Regions Wheatbelt Regional Grants Scheme (WRGS) from time to time. The scheme aims to improve economic and community infrastructure and services by funding projects that attract investment, increase jobs and improve quality of life.
