Narrogin unveils new Tourism Website for Narrogin & Dryandra Visitor Centre
The Shire of Narrogin has announced the launch of a new, state-of-the-art website for the Narrogin &
Dryandra Visitor Centre. This new online platform aims to enhance the promotion of Narrogin and its
surrounding areas as a tourism destination.
The new website draws significantly upon one developed by dedicated volunteer Doug Sawkins,
provided substantial information about the area. Doug's hard work and commitment were invaluable.
The Shire President Mr Leigh Ballard noted "We can't thank Doug enough. Our heartfelt thanks go to him for his significant contributions, which laid the foundation for this new development."
Recognising the need for a modern update, the funds for the new website were sourced from the assets
of the former Dryandra Country Visitors Centre dissolution. This investment ensures that the website
meets the current digital standards and expectations of users.
“The website is designed to increase user engagement, with a user-friendly interface allowing visitors
and potential visitors to plan, share, and connect with Narrogin and the surrounding area,” said Dale
Stewart, CEO of the Shire of Narrogin. “We are committed to providing a comprehensive and accessible
resource for anyone looking to explore what our beautiful region has to offer.”
The new website serves as the single go-to tourism information source for Narrogin, featuring
information around accommodation, eateries, pubs, local attractions, and up-to-date event listings. It is
a critical tool for showcasing the region’s offerings and enhancing the visitor experience.
For local business owners connected with tourism, the new website offers an excellent opportunity to
gain exposure. “If you are a business owner of a café or accommodation in the area and are not yet
listed on the new website, please reach out to us. The website is growing together with the town, and
this is a great free opportunity to advertise your business,” said Anna Prysiazhna, Community
Development Officer involved in the project.
With the launch of this new platform, the Shire of Narrogin hopes to attract more visitors and support
the local economy by highlighting the unique experiences available in the region.
